On launch day, I swear I could have heard Logitech’s massive fanbase collectively say, “It’s about time!”īut – while Logitech does tend to produce some of the highest-quality peripherals out there (based on personal experience), its competitors cannot be immediately discredited. Logitech, amid all of its competitors that have been offering mechanical options for some time, has finally decided to release its own. On one hand, gaming releases from Logitech don’t come as often as they used to. Have you given any thought to Logitech's latest boards, the G810 (if you like the Romer G and RGB lighting) or the G610 (has selection of Cherry switches and white backlighting)? These are very nice too, and you can still use the F keys as macro keys. When Logitech announced its G710+ gaming keyboard last week, there were a couple of good reasons to take notice. That being said, the G710+ could probably be had for a lot cheaper. I really enjoyed my time with the Orion Spark, and I can honestly say it was a great starter board for me personally. Overall, I'd say any of them are decent for a starter board. I wonder if I used it next to the Romer G which I would like more? I'd think probably the topre, but who knows? It's been a while since I owned the G910. I also use a CoolerMaster Novatouch with Topre switches, and I really like that as well. I really liked the Romer G, and I think that it was a great entry mechanical keyboard, but I've moved more towards clicky switches now as gateron blues are now my personal favorite.

The funny thing is that the G810 came out not too long after I bought the G910 and if I had gotten that instead of the G910 I probably would've kept it, never came to this sub, and never have gotten into mech keyboards as much as I have over the past several months. I really liked it for several months, but I ultimately got rid of it because A) I wanted to be able to buy different keycaps and B) the larger size really started to get onto me.
